A School in Bay Shore is currently seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) to join their team.
About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: until 5/31
• Schedule: Part Time (2-3 days per week)
• Hours: 8a-1p or 8:30a-2p
• Patient Population: Pediatrics

Responsibilities:
The Physical Therapist (PT) will:

• Provide evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children with mild to complex needs.
• Develop new and modify existing IEP and school goals
• Establish treatment goals and implement age-appropriate plans of care.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology/adaptive equipment as needed, provide written justification, and coordinate the purchase of equipment for a child with the family.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pediatric Physical Therapy
• Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalities
• Ability to build rapport with clients, their families/caregivers, and colleagues

Desired Skills:

• Ability to work well in a dynamic school setting.
• Ability to work well one-on-one and with co-treatment scenarios.
