Job Description
*Job Overview*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and possess a strong understanding of patient care protocols. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care, assisting in physical examinations, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position may require travel nursing responsibilities and the ability to perform sterile processing and medical imaging tasks.

*Duties*
* Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
* Assist in conducting physical examinations and documenting patient histories.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
* Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
* Support patients with acute pain management strategies.
* Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of medical equipment for procedures, including sonography and other medical imaging tasks.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
* Lift and assist patients as necessary to ensure their comfort and safety.

*Requirements*
* Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
* Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
* Familiarity with travel nursing practices is a plus.
* Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and medical imaging procedures is desirable.
* Proficiency in acute pain management practices.
* Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
* Ability to lift patients safely and assist them with mobility needs.
* Familiarity with Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
