*Job Summary:*
An *LPN in Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)* provides direct patient care in a hospital or clinical setting, typically working with adult patients who are recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, or dealing with acute medical conditions. Under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and physicians, LPNs in the Med-Surg setting are responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort during their hospital stay. They collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support a patient's recovery and overall well-being.

*Job Duties:*
* *Patient Care and Monitoring:* Provide routine care to patients, monitor vital signs, and observe for changes in physical or emotional health. Report findings to the supervising RN or physician.
* *Administering Medications:* Administer prescribed medications, either orally, via injection, or topically, and monitor for side effects or reactions.
* *Wound Care:* Perform dressing changes, assist in wound management, and monitor the healing progress of surgical or other wounds.
* *Patient Education:* Educate patients and families about treatment plans, recovery processes, and health maintenance. Reinforce discharge instructions as needed.
* *Assist with Procedures:* Prepare patients for surgical or diagnostic procedures and assist doctors or RNs during these procedures as necessary.
