Loyal Source Government Services is looking for LPNs to work at the Ralph H. Johnson VAMC in Charleston, SC.

Job Summary:

LPNs will provide skilled nursing care to patients in Acute Care, Primary Care and Specialty Clinics in Charleston and VA Clinics (CBOC’s). He/she may perform those approved Medical Center procedures that are described in the Licensed Practical Nurse Act, Vocational Nurse VA Qualification Standards. The LPNs will demonstrate increasingly more independence in his/her management of

patient care and demonstrates competence in caring for adult psychiatric,

medical, and geriatric patients. The LPNs function both dependently and independently with

guidance and direction from the Nurse Manager/designee

Requirements:

· Knowledge and skill sufficient to prepare, administer, and appropriately document actions taken specific to commonly prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and/or intravenous medications as permitted by approved local facility policies and procedures. Observation and documentation will include patient's response to medication administered and the reporting of any noted change in patient's condition to RN or MD/DO.

· Demonstrated ability to serve as a responsible member of the nursing team and interact [in an appropriate manner] with patients, family members, professional and [other] supportive personnel [involved in the delivery of] patient care, incorporating acceptable, established customer service standards into practice.

· May be required to work with COVID 19 positive patients.

Qualifications:

· LPNs must have active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State,

·District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

· Required to be a graduate of a state approved school of practical/vocational nursing.

· Minimum of 2 years current experience (must have worked within the last six months) in Med/Surgical, Long Term Care, Psychiatric/Mental Health, or Primary Care. Type of experience must be described on resume.

· AHA BLS certification

Benefits: W2 pay package including eligibility for health insurance, paid leave and paid holidays.

Pay: 24.38/hr plus 4.93/ H&W
