*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this critical role, you will provide care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and positive experience for both the mother and newborn. You will work closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to monitor the health of both mother and baby, administer medications, and assist in the delivery process.

*Responsibilities*
* Monitor and assess the health status of mothers during labor, including vital signs and fetal heart rates.
* Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding labor processes, pain management options, and post-delivery care.
* Administer medications, including injections as needed, following established protocols.
* Assist in the delivery process by providing hands-on support to physicians or midwives.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures throughout the labor and delivery process.
* Provide postpartum care to mothers, including catheter care if necessary.

*Experience*
* A valid nursing license is required; experience in Labor and Delivery nursing is preferred.
* Knowledge of physiology related to pregnancy, labor, and delivery is essential.
* Experience administering injections is a must; familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) is a plus.
* Previous experience in geriatrics or senior care can be beneficial for understanding diverse patient needs.
* Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments may enhance patient care strategies.
* Knowledge of dermal fillers or CT (Computed Tomography) may be considered an asset but is not required.
* Strong communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
