*Responsibilities:*

• Performing core upgrades on Cisco network equipment, and migrating 6800s & 6807s Catalyst Switches to 9606s

• Logging into devices, labeling cables, and performing the physical cabling as needed.

• Travelling to various sites in downtown Louisville to do labeling, setting up racks, and executing the cutovers on specified dates.

• Analyzing existing hardware, software, and networking systems

• Creating and implementing scalable Cisco networks according to client specifications

• Testing and troubleshooting installed Cisco Systems.

• Resolving technical issues with networks and hardware

• Performing speed and security tests on installed networks

• Upgrading/ & replacing hardware and software systems when required

• Handling responsibilities in other networking projects, after the completion of the migrations

*Required Qualifications:*

• BS or BA degree, preferably in a technical field

• CCNA certification

• 5+ years of professional network engineering/administration experience

• 3+ years of experience working with Cisco devices

• Hands-on experience upgrading, cabling, & installing Cisco layer 3 switches

• Solid level of knowledge and/or experience with Cisco routers & Firewalls

• Experience with SDWAN especially with Aruba/Meraki experience

• Experience with call centers and able to have strong communication with customers

• Experience logging into devices, labelling cables, & physically doing the cabling on switches

• Local to Louisville, KY, and willing to travel on-site to two different data center locations to do the cabling & performing the migrations on specified dates (will be working remote the majority of the time, outside of those dates)

• Willing to be flexible and work nighttime hours on the occasions of on-site upgrades
