The Opportunity - Business Development Coordinator, Outside Sales
Garfield is looking for a Business Development Coordinator (BDC) to report to the Associate Director of Outside Sales in our dental department. The BDC will be the primary territory sales representative for Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey while supporting sales efforts for other U.S. regions as needed. This role is based at Garfield Refining's Philadelphia headquarters and requires travel.
The BDC will be responsible for sales growth in PA, DE, and NJ by calling on dentists and dental labs and pitching Garfield's industry-leading refining services while maintaining a pipeline that consistently produces high-volume spot sales. The BDC will acquire new customers and retain business through selling door-to-door, servicing clients in-office, and attending local and national trade shows and networking events.

Responsibilities include:
  • Pitching Garfield's services to qualified dentists and dental labs in PA, DE, and NJ
  • Closing target sales quota per month by collecting clients' scrap metal for refining
  • Identifying new sales opportunities through industry networking
  • Attending tradeshows to meet clients and develop new business
  • Assist sales leadership in improving outside sales support functions, CRM, and processes
You might be a good fit if you (have, possess, are):
  • Minimum 3 years of client-facing outside sales experience
  • Successful previous experience in sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Desire to perform high-volume door-to-door style cold calling; road warrior
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with an energetic attitude and elite relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel (fly & drive)
  • Experience in dental/medical industries is not required
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred; however, we provide comprehensive training and all candidates will be considered
  • Must reside within 30 miles of Philadelphia, PA
