A well-established legal firm that specializes in insurance defense, habitability cases, personal injury defense and premises liability is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney to join their team in Los Angeles, CA! They are looking for candidates with 2-5 years of litigation experience to work alongside partner attorneys with a primary focus on defense litigation.

Pay Range: $125,000 - $175,000 DOE
Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with 1-2 partner attorneys, offering support and specialized knowledge in litigation cases
• Efficiently manage a caseload ranging from 8 to 30 cases, ensuring comprehensive and effective handling
• Oversee all aspects of legal cases from their initiation through to resolution
• Engage with clients, providing them with updates and representation during court appearances
• Ensure prompt and regular reporting to clients regarding case progress and developments
• Perform in-depth legal research and analysis to develop strategic approaches to cases
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team on complex litigation matters
• Negotiate settlements, and actively participate in mediations and arbitrations to resolve disputes
• Maintain strict adherence to legal standards and regulations in all aspects of work
• Offer legal advice and counsel to clients, addressing a variety of legal issues and concerns
• Stay current with new laws, regulations, and legal precedents pertinent to the firm s areas of practice

Litigation Attorney Requirements:

• Possession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in areas such as insurance defense
• Experience in criminal law, personal injury, premises liability, or habitability law is also considered valuable
• Strong trial experience, with a preference for candidates possessing expertise in this area
• A background in legal defense work is highly desirable
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of responsibility
• Self-motivated and well-organized, with the ability to work efficiently without constant supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships
