We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, with a strong command of legal terminology.
Responsibilities include providing administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence; preparing and formatting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and briefs; maintaining and organizing client files, ensuring accurate record keeping and document retrieval; interacting professionally with clients, counsel, and court personnel; handling incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate parties; assisting with billing and time-tracking activities; and performing other administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm or legal department
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, with advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
