Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize outbound freight transport, both API and amino acids according to customer requirements and the specific product to be delivered
• Actively work to strengthen customer relations when it comes to meeting the customer's requirements regarding transport, deliveries and lead times
• Complete customer cards accurately for each customer
• Ensure customer interactions when a shipment is to be coordinated
• Write SOPs relevant to shipping
• Work in collaboration with Sales & Marketing to continuously improve transport and transport agreements
• Support transports for other freight departments
• Collaborates with the Validation Department as needed, to perform shipping validation
• Update shipping policy when needed
• Provide follow-up / evaluation with carriers to meet the customer's requirements / expectations, in collaboration with QA
• Coordinate contact between Sales & Marketing, QA and Warehouse staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• A minimum of a High School Diploma.
• 1-3 years related job experience required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment (preferred).
• Effective communication skills - clear, concise and positive.
• Effective work methods and consistently meets commitments.
• Detail-orientation in performing accurate transactions.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as necessary
• Uses sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Self-motivated and able to multi-tasks with minimal supervision
• Basic computer skills which include the ability to create and save text documents and to create and send email.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.; occasional standing and bending.

Salary: $20-$24/ hour
