This role requires a keen understanding of inventory management, market trends, and customer behavior to ensure the right products are available in the right stores at the right time. You will manage the distribution of inventory to maximize the likelihood of sales and sell-through while considering strategic objectives such as store priority. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Job Responsibilities: Seasonal Allocation and Planning: Oversee businesses with 500-1,000 SKUs, driving up to $200M annuallyCoordinate with buying, planning, visual to plan for seasonal set and refresh allocationsOptimize the allocation of products to prevent stockouts and reduce excess inventory at end of season or product life cycleReview the allocation of merchandise to warehouses and stores based on demand forecasts, sales trends, and optimal inventory levelsSupport the execution of seasonal strategies and marketed events by allocating the right products to stores and online channels as per the marketing and merchandising plansInventory Analysis: Monitor store sales performance, tracking sell-through rates. Review opportunities with manager and align on the necessary adjustments for upcoming seasonsCollaborate with manager to identify slow-moving items and recommend actions to address these issues (hold in DC, markdown, floor placement moves)Generate and maintain allocation reports, highlighting key performance metrics for your managerData Analysis and Reporting: Generate reporting on inventory performancePartner with Data Science team to help transform manual data sets into dynamic Power BI dashboards that fuel analysis and deliberate changesCommunication and Collaboration: Cross-collaborate closely with (but not limited to) Buying, Planning, Visual Merchandising and Supply Chain to ensure effective communication and coordinationPartner with your manager to provide regular updates on allocation effectiveness throughout the seasonSupport a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with a cross-functional team focused on driving sales and optimal store presentation levelsQualifications: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory managementEffective cross-functional collaboration and communication skillsAbility to analyze data and provide actionable feedback. A strong problem-solving skillsetCapable of prioritizing workload in a fast paced and dynamic environmentSense of urgency and excitement to be a part of a high-growth retail environmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn systems quickly.
