Duties/Responsibilities:
- Planning and organizing work schedules to meet production targets.
- Hands-on repair of plant equipment and knowledge of safety requirements required for operating a rock and sand mining operation.
- Managing a team of workers, including assigning tasks and providing training and development opportunities.
- Ensuring that safety standards are met and that workers are following safety protocols.
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment, including conducting regular inspections and coordinating repairs.
- Maintaining accurate records of production, equipment maintenance, and employee performance.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and to the required specifications.
- Responding to customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and environmental concerns.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in a mining environment.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience as plant foreman or lead.
- Must follow safety procedures and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Some electrical knowledge/experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Requires physical strength and hand-eye coordination.
- The ability to work well in a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols.
Working Conditions:
- Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
- Must wear protective equipment while at the location.
- Capable to work extended hours as needed.
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; Previous MSHA training is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for prolonged periods.
- Lifting to 50 lbs.
- Crouching.
- Walking.
- Works in many different weather conditions.
