Job Summary:
Our client, a leading distributor of high-quality stone slabs, is seeking an experienced and driven National Sales Director to lead their nationwide sales operations. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strong relationships with clients and partners across the U.S.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the stone industry, a proven ability to lead and grow sales teams, and a passion for delivering results. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., though candidates based in a major metropolitan area on the East Coast are preferred to facilitate travel and client interactions in key markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Sales Strategies:
  • Create and implement a national sales strategy that aligns with the client's growth goals.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand market share while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to keep the company competitive.
Lead and Grow the Sales Team:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, including regional managers and account executives.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics to drive accountability and results.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture that prioritizes growth and innovation.
Build and Strengthen Client Relationships:
  • Develop strong partnerships with fabricators, designers, architects, and contractors to ensure the company is their preferred supplier.
  • Engage with distributors and other partners to expand market reach and influence.
  • Represent the client at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to grow brand presence.
Drive Operational Excellence:
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, analyze performance data, and share insights with the leadership team.
  • Use CRM tools to streamline sales processes and improve customer relationship management.
Qualifications:
  • At least 7-10 years of sales leadership experience, with substantial time spent in the stone industry (natural and engineered stone experience is required).
  • Proven success managing national sales teams and driving revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of the stone distribution industry, including market trends and customer preferences.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in sales analytics and forecasting.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales performance tools.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the U.S.
