Job Description

The Manufacturing Controller is responsible for the full cycle accounting. Duties include: preparing and maintaining accurate financial records by performing a variety of complex admin and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of financial records, and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports in order to achieve the financial objectives of the location.

  • Support the CFO through standardized and consistent reporting.
  • Coordination and execution of consistent accounting procedures.
  • Develop and implement a training program for new accounting employees that provides an extensive introduction to the Systems/Culture/ Processes that currently drive the business.
  • Work with other company facilities, regions, and corporate Accounting/Finance personnel to streamline the month-end, yearly close procedures, payroll, and budgeting process.
  • Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost or variance analyses and profitability.
  • Participate in management meetings to provide input on costing, expenses, payroll, capital investments and other financial matters related to existing or developing products and customers.
  • Participate in a variety of internal and external audits by providing required financial information and explaining processes, procedures, and data. Follow up and implement any changes to enhance internal controls

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, Well-organized
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting/finance environment
  • Possess strong time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of general ledger systems, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, complex environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Proficiency in MS office suite with strong Excel knowledge is required.
