The Manufacturing Controller is responsible for the full cycle accounting. Duties include: preparing and maintaining accurate financial records by performing a variety of complex admin and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of financial records, and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports in order to achieve the financial objectives of the location.
- Support the CFO through standardized and consistent reporting.
- Coordination and execution of consistent accounting procedures.
- Develop and implement a training program for new accounting employees that provides an extensive introduction to the Systems/Culture/ Processes that currently drive the business.
- Work with other company facilities, regions, and corporate Accounting/Finance personnel to streamline the month-end, yearly close procedures, payroll, and budgeting process.
- Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost or variance analyses and profitability.
- Participate in management meetings to provide input on costing, expenses, payroll, capital investments and other financial matters related to existing or developing products and customers.
- Participate in a variety of internal and external audits by providing required financial information and explaining processes, procedures, and data. Follow up and implement any changes to enhance internal controls
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, Well-organized
- 10+ years of experience in accounting/finance environment
- Possess strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of general ledger systems, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, complex environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Proficiency in MS office suite with strong Excel knowledge is required.
