    Job Details
  • Level 1 trauma and Siemen’s experience is required
  • Under general supervision and following established procedures, operates CT equipment to acquire images for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
  • Staff will be required to float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with BWH as needed.
  • Explains exam to patient taking into consideration physical and emotional needs; maintains ethical standards (patient confidentiality, professional conduct, etc.).
  • Delivers patient care under scope of license / training.
  • Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment to be used during the work day.
  • Execute paperwork and Radiology Information System functions as necessary for each patient exam.
  • Performs venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintains appropriate CEU's in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and A.R.R.T. requirements.
  • May oversee and instruct various personnel and technology students within the department.
    Job Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology
  • Possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent
  • Be Registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent is required
  • 2-3 years experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred with at least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses
  • Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress
  • Must possess analytical abilities necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of imaging processes, techniques, and procedures and cross sectional anatomy.
    Schedule Information
  • Must assume responsibilities for on-call coverage and remain flexible in all shift coverage and overtime situations as necessary.
  • Rotates within department, divisions and all off site clinics, by shifts as required and needed.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Must maintain appropriate CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and A.R.R.T. requirements.
    Additional Details
  • Submit a color photo taken in past 6 mos. No selfies, no filters. Plain Background. Symmetrical headshot, shoulders up, look straight/no tilted head. No eyeglasses.
  • Primary Source Verification of professional license and/or certification, as required for the position. Within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration. MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
  • N95 - within 365 days to start date and updated annually. No fit testing(initial or updates) can be done onsite at any location.
  • A completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series that is approved by the FDA or the World Health Organization (WHO) OR an up-to-date COVID vaccine if a primary series was never received or completed is required. No exemptions or waivers (religious/medical) will be considered.
