Job Details
- Level 1 trauma and Siemen’s experience is required
- Operates CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information according to departmental protocol
- Delivers patient care under scope of license / training
- Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment to be used during the work day
- Performs venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintains appropriate CEU's in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) requirements
- Transport and transfer patients using established procedures according to departmental guidelines
- Uses independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative under pressure in a variety of situations when performing patient exams
Job Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology
- Possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license
- Registered or eligible for certification in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent is required
- 2-3 years experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred with at least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses
Schedule Information
- Rotates within department, divisions and all off site clinics, by shifts as required and needed; cooperates with all personnel, promoting harmony within department
- Assume responsibilities for on-call coverage and to remain flexible in all shift coverage and overtime situations as necessary
