  • PCU RN position in Council Bluffs, Iowa
  • Department: Stepdown RN
  • Common diagnoses include heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke.
  • Fast-paced unit with many admits and discharges.
    Job Requirements
  • Must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%
  • RN's must be able to titrate drips
  • Experience floating to ICU if appropriate
    Schedule Information
  • Shift: 0630-1900, 1830-0700
  • Cyclic scheduling
  • Weekend Requirements: Every third
  • Holiday Requirements: 1 major, 1 minor
    Unit Specific Information
  • RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Common titratable drips include Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro
  • RNs required to troubleshoot CPAP equipment
    Additional Details
  • PRESCREEN+AUTO OFFER
  • 1-12 hour shift in the department for orientation
