Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Gainesville GA (1 hr NE of Atlanta)
We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who is experienced in orthopedics/musculoskeletal issues to join our medical practices in Gainesville, GA and our office in the Hamilton Mill area in Dacula. Our ideal Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is comfortable working within an integrated setting, collaborating with a knowledgeable and well-respected team of professionals, to offer a comprehensive approach to patients living with acute and chronic pain. Job duties include performing trigger point and joint injections, so the incoming candidate must have experience doing those types of procedures. Excellent work life balance with day office hours on Fridays! The incoming provider will split coverage between our two offices in Dacula and Gainesville.

Duties:

• Patient exam/evaluation (medical history, physical exam, review pertinent med records/imaging)
• Order and review tests/labs (MRIs, NCVs, etc)
• Diagnosis and treatment plan formulation
• Patient education as to diagnosis, treatment options, rehab/exercises, and various modalities
• Manage patient care
• Treatments- perform trigger point and joint injections
• Prescribe physical therapy and/or chiropractic care as needed
• Prescribe medications as necessary for pain and treatment (no narcotics prescribed)
• Documentation and progress notes daily, timely and accurate
• Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care plans

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) program
• PA/NP license in GA
• Orthopedic, Physical Med and Rehab, or Pain management background is preferred
• Experience with trigger point and joint injections preferred

Schedule:

• Full time
• Monday Friday (1/2 days on Fridays)

Compensation:

• $120k-$140k (DOE)
