This locum tenens position requires an Emergency Medicine physician to provide coverage in southern Alabama from February to July 2024. Physicians must be board eligible or board certified, possess an active Alabama license, and meet specific certification requirements based on their training. The role involves shifts of 12 hours, either from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with support from advanced practice providers.

ED volume - approx 18, hours of physician coverage; 7a-7p, 7p-7a APP coverage 11a-9p daily Admission rate - 8% Transfer rate - 2.5% AMA - 1.2% EMS arrivals - 12.5% Hospital covers the cost of travel, lodging and malpractice insurance
