- Registered Nurse position at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center
- Unit accommodates 1st timers with 2 years experience
- Patient diagnoses include chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope
- Special procedures include pre/post cath lab, PPM/AICD, ablations, vascular surgeries, titration of drips, sheath pulling at bedside
- Potential for med-surg overflow cases
- Special equipment includes telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, wound vacs
Job Requirements
- Current/valid Drivers License/State ID or government photo ID required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required if certification expires within 30 days of start
- State License Verification required within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification required within 30 days of start
Schedule Information
- Every other holiday
- Can be pulled to all other inpatient units
- Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests
