As a Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, you will provide healthcare coverage to nursing homes, hospitals, and post-acute care facilities. This role includes daily patient rounds, coordinating with nursing staff, and engaging with family members to ensure quality care. The position also allows for flexible coverage hours and includes billing support and malpractice insurance.
Our client is a growing company providing healthcare coverage to ICUs, hospitals, and multiple post-acute care facilities across the country. They are looking to add excellent physicians to their rapidly growing company.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Rounds on nursing home, vented/trached patients and other duties
- Average number of patients to round on is 25 pts per day
- Meet with family members
- Meet and coordinate with the DON
Certifications and Licenses
- BC/BE in Internal/ Infectious Disease
- BLS certification
- State license
- Federal DEA and state CS number
Billings and Collections
- All Patients are privately insured
- Provider gets to keep a percentage of the collection
- Provider at end of the month will get a report re his/her collections
- It usually takes 6-8 weeks to start seeing the collections coming in
- Bonus plan is included upon signing
Coverage and procedures
- Daily round and it s determined by the provide, we have great flexibility
- Expect coverage time is around 4-6 hours per day
Our client's responsibilities
- Provide the physician with Malpractice insurance
- Provide an office space to work
- Provide billing services
- Provide access to its billing services EMR system
- Scheduling
- Back-office support with credentialing, licensure etc.
