An Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician is sought for a rural-style practice in Oregon, committed to a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. The position entails a traditional workweek with a substantial patient contact schedule, along with on-call responsibilities and access to a robust support network including maternal-fetal medicine and gynecologic oncology. The candidate will benefit from a well-organized multispecialty group practice within a not-for-profit hospital environment that prioritizes quality care.

Location: A city in Oregon serving as a key economic and cultural hub for eastern Oregon and western Idaho. It is located along the Snake River, right on the Idaho-Oregon border, about 55 miles west of Boise, Idaho.

Facility: A 49-bed, acute care, not-for-profit hospital serving eastern Oregon and southwestern Idaho. The hospital is committed to providing quality care through qualified and caring staff in a comfortable and secure environment. Opportunity:
  • Seeking a full-time, board certified or board eligible obstetrician/gynecologist (Ob-Gyn) committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.
  • Traditional workweek plus call and hospital responsibilities, including evenings and weekends
  • Minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week plus rounding and call
  • On-call schedule/ratio: 1/6 shared equitably with other employed OB/GYNs
  • Average patients a day: 20-25
  • Weekend schedule/ratio: 1/6 shared equitably with other employed OB/GYNs
  • Opportunity for an OB-GYN seeking a rural-style practice with the support of a large health system and a well-organized multispecialty group practice
  • Strong network of primary care clinics and specialty care providers
  • Support includes Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncologist, 4-bed Level II NICU, 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia, Emergency Department, and a SAMG network of 74 Primary & Specialty Care clinics
  • Access to larger system resources, including the Boise OB/GYN practice and da Vinci
  • Additional support includes Gyn Onc, MFM, Certified Nurse Midwives, Neonatologists, Genetic Counselors, and 24-hour onsite anesthesia coverage on labor and delivery
  • OB Hospitalist service available
  • Features a 10-bed LDRP Unit with a 2-bed newborn nursery
  • This unit is clinically integrated with the Obstetrical Unit and accommodates 400+ annual deliveries
  • Providing care by OB/GYN providers for infants >36 weeks CGA
  • NICU team follows a family-centered approach with outcomes exceeding national benchmarks
  • Desired start date: ASAP
  • Practice setting: Rounds, Clinic
  • Documentation System/EMR: EPIC with Dax
  • Qualify for federal school loan forgiveness program
