Job Description

Masis Professional Professional Group is assisting our retail client in searching for an HR Generalist , focusing heavily on Employee Relations in Westborough MA. Position is temp-to-perm with good potential to convert to permanent. Position is primarily onsite.


Starting Salary: $32 to $36 per hour based on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director of Employee Relations the position is responsible for providing HR service delivery to assigned store operations groups. This is a multi-disciplinary HR role which will focus on delivering services in the area of employee relations, training, compensation, and will perform other project work as needed.
  • Working with line management, provide advice (coaching & counseling) on performance management to include employee relations cases. As necessary conduct formal investigations in response to complaints ensuring that management actions are in compliance with appropriate Company policy, state, federal and local laws. Record keeping of case files and coaching provided in the HR case management system.
  • Provide guidance to line management on HR policies and procedures interpretation. Respond to questions from team members and management while adhering to the HR Service level agreements with Retail Field Management.
  • Deliver training on new HR processes, technology systems, and management practices and programs. Contribute to the development of new training programs and support new program roll-out initiatives.
  • Regularly interfaces with District Managers, Stores Managers, team members and broader HR team.


Experience and Educational Requirements

  • 2 or more years of HR Employee Relations work experience
  • Experience supporting a retail business is a strong plus
  • Minimum of an Associates Degree, but Bachelor's preferred and/or related HR certification is a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment law
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in multiple HR disciplines
  • Solid technical skills and experience in MS Office and web-based HR software such as HRIS, ATS, etc.
