Title: Compensation Analyst (contract 3 months)

Rate: $30-$33/hour DOE
Summary:
Our client within the Energy Oil & Gas support services industry needs a contract-based Compensation Analyst. The potential candidate will need to possess strong Excel skills with the ability to work, and manage data in pivot tables, graphs, and charts. In addition, tasks will include assisting the compensation team to develop employee grading tools, salary ranges, and departmental categorization.
Duties:
- Analyzes compensation data and utilizes job evaluation process to determine job worth and market pricing.
- Participates in salary surveys and analyzes results to determine organization's market relationship.
- Prepares job descriptions and job evaluation reports in Excel spreadsheets.
- Develops recommendations to adjust salary structure in response to changing organizational needs and market values.
- Analyzes current organizational pay practices and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity.
- Conducts job analysis to determine appropriate salary level according to compensation guidelines and policy formulated by human resources executive.
- Ensures all compensation data within the HRIS system is complete and correct.
- Prepares compensation reports generating data analysis from HRIS management system.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience performing compensation analysis work for a mid to large sized organization.
- Versed in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and use of database management, word processing, spreadsheet, and/or presentation software.
- General technical knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems.
- Understanding of local, state, and country compensation compliance regulations.
- Ability to gather and analyze data, compile information, and prepare reports as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Able to interact with all levels of management.

Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business, or related field is preferred.
