Job Details Division: Nucor Warehouse Systems Location: Vernon, CA, United States Other Available Locations: N/A Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 (Depending of the college year) Basic Job Functions: Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Construction Management Intern. The responsibilities for this role include, and are not limited to, supporting the project management team on active projects, learning how to manage different contractors, and understanding on-site construction activities. The Construction Management intern will get the opportunity to work with a variety of Project Managers to understand and review project installations, and customer expectations. This position allows the intern to gain experience with professional construction job management, contractor management and communication with stakeholders.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: - Students should have an interest in Project Management software's like Microsoft Projects, Smartsheet's, etc.
- Maintain high grades in their studies, interested in learning through hands-on work experience in a project management environment.
- Enthusiastic about the challenges associated with the development of sophisticated project management work in an atmosphere of high professionalism.
- Successful candidates must have strong communication abilities.
- Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, overtime, and other as required.
Preferred Qualifications: - Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate in a 4 year-college or university with an interest in Construction Management/ Project Management
- Ability to understand construction/ or architectural drawings or blueprints.
