 About the Sterile Processing Assistant Role   

We are looking to add a Sterile Processing Technician to our growing Surgery Department. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and integrity of surgical suites, instruments, and supplies required for the operating room. This position offers an incredible opportunity to work alongside veterinarians, surgical nurses, and hospital support staff while gaining valuable experience in a specialty and emergency veterinary hospital setting.

Schedule & Compensation

         Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4 PM OR Monday-Friday 11 AM - 7 PM 

         Compensation: Starts at $22/hr and will be based on experience and or certifications

 What You’ll Do  

• Apply aseptic principles to surgical patients, instruments, equipment, and rooms.
• Perform effective decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments, anesthesia hoses, and endotracheal tubes.
• Stock and organize surgical suites and maintain a clean, efficient workspace.
• Working collaboratively with the Clinical Support Manager, Anesthesia Coordinator, veterinarians, and nursing staff to ensure smooth surgical operations.

• This role is open to both certified technicians and assistants with experience in a surgical setting.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures required.
• Ability to follow directions, ask for clarification when needed, and work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
