The Registered Nurse, First Assist (RNFA) provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and process to develop, implement and evaluate patient’s plan of care. The RNFA, as the primary care giver, provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other care team members, the physician and the patient/family to achieve the optimal patient outcomes. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. This individual works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager. When functioning in surgery, this individual works under the supervision of the Physician who is readily available.

Required Educational Degree: Graduate of an Accredited Program in Nursing, Effective 4/1/2019 for all New Hires. BSN required within 3 years of hire.

Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: RN - Registered Nurse with Current Ohio License. RNFA - Registered Nurse First Assist.

Required Experience: 1-2 years experience as an RNFA
