Our client is an esteemed Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Clinical Nurse with expertise in oncology nursing, ideally with radiation oncology experience. This leadership role is perfect for a dedicated RN who thrives in a dynamic, patient-centered environment and is passionate about mentoring and guiding nursing teams to provide exceptional cancer care.
As a Senior Clinical Nurse, you will serve as a clinical and operational leader, supporting oncology nurses, ensuring evidence-based practices, and enhancing patient care delivery. This role offers the opportunity to lead, educate, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes in radiation oncology and beyond.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to oncology nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
* Utilize advanced oncology knowledge to oversee patient care, particularly in radiation oncology, ensuring adherence to best practices.
* Support ongoing staff education and training in oncology nursing, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy care protocols.
* Work closely with physicians, radiation oncologists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
* Identify and implement initiatives to improve patient safety, workflow efficiency, and overall care standards.
*Requirements:*
* Registered Nurse (RN) – Active Licensure in New York
* Previous Oncology Nursing Experience (Radiation Oncology strongly preferred)
* Leadership or Supervisory Experience in a clinical setting
* Strong Clinical Decision-Making & Problem-Solving Skills
* Excellent Communication & Team Collaboration Abilities

Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
