LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our client in Mundelein. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine building, mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and maintenance, with a passion for learning and creativity. This role involves working independently and collaboratively with international clients, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service machinery in-house and at customer sites.
• Taking machines apart and performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Assisting & assembling new machinery & putting things together.
• Answering customer questions and training customers on operation.
• Reading electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Design, wire, and troubleshoot electronic systems, including 24V logic and devices.
• Develop and maintain software applications, with a focus on creating intuitive GUIs.
• Manage networking tasks and support IT infrastructure.
• Implement and troubleshoot RFID systems.
• Understand and apply various communication protocols in system integration.
• Operate, build, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery.
• Create detailed technical documentation, manuals, spreadsheets, presentations, and speeches.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new equipment and technologies.
• Apply relentless creativity and imagination to solve complex problems.
• Work independently while effectively collaborating with team members and clients.
• Communicate effectively with international companies and clients.
• Willingness to travel 30% of the time.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical and Electrical knowledge
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to understand blueprints, installations and assembly of product.
• Strong IT and networking skills.
• Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
