 Summary/objective

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Engineer/ PLC Programmer to join our team Engineer with advanced technical expertise and a higher level of responsibility within our engineering team to oversee and lead complex engineering projects.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities  

- Develop electrical design, schematics, and drawings in AutoCAD 

- Develop electrical bills of materials 

-Commission electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications. 

-Give technical direction to assemblers and technicians as required. 

-Design and develop PLC and HMI applications based on given requirements and specifications. 

- Provide advanced technical guidance and solutions to complex engineering problems 

-Design and develop systems, products, or solutions according to project requirements. 

-Collaborate with customers, and other departments to ensure project alignment and success. 

-Ensure that engineering solutions meet quality standards and regulatory requirements 

-Identify issues and implement effective e solutions to maintain project progress and integrity. 

-Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications and reports. 

- Work closely with departments to ensure engineering efforts support overall business objectives. 

-Drive technological advancements and stay up to date with industry trends to keep the?company competitive.

Education and Experience  

-Associates degree in engineering or a related field 

-5 + years of experience in the automation industry 

-PLC programming experience 

-Experience and skill in troubleshooting control systems. 

-Experience managing engineering projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. 

-Expertise in electro-mechanical repair and testing 

-Experience with Schneider, Allen Bradley, AGO, and/or Beckhoff PLCs a plus 

-Experience with Schneider, Allen Bradley, and/or Maple Systems HMIs a plus  

-Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical a plus 

-Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70, UL 508A, and UL 698A a plus 

 

?Work Environment  

-Office and Industrial setting 

- Mandatory use of proper safety equipment (e.g., steel-toed boots, safety glasses) and adherence to safety procedures 

- Collaborative setting with a focus on communication 

-Must be able to travel and work at customer sites on occasion. 

Physical Requirements  

- Sitting for extended periods 

- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. 

-May involve lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 50 lbs.
