Key Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer , your role will include:
- Designing, developing, and implementing HMI and SCADA automation solutions.
- Providing technical expertise on HMI systems, including hardware and software configuration.
- Collaborating on system designs, controls packages, and operator interfaces to meet customer specifications.
- Engaging directly with customers to understand their requirements and ensure project satisfaction.
- Coordinating with internal teams and shop floor staff for seamless project execution.
- Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Experience and Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years experience designing, programming, and implementing HMI and SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in Ignition® SCADA/HMI development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook, and similar tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to travel up to 30% and work on-call as needed.
- Bonus: Experience with Siemens or Rockwell PLCs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and navigate tight spaces.
- Ability to crouch, crawl, and work on the ground as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds occasionally.
- Use of hands for handling tools and small components.
