The Sales Executive role is pivotal for driving both new client acquisition and customer retention at Meriplex Communications. This hybrid role focuses on managing existing client relationships, and ensuring successful solution adoption to maximize revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Secondary focus will be on inbound leads and referrals for new client acquisition. You will proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities, build strong relationships, deliver exceptional service, and exceed revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
•Support marketing with inbound leads and acquire new clients to drive net new logos and revenue growth.
•Perform proactive outreach with existing clients and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools (Salesforce).
•Deliver successful sales presentations and competitive negotiations to close new business deals.
•Collaborate with marketing to execute targeted campaigns and initiatives (e.g., events, webinars).
Customer Management & Retention
•Manage an assigned portfolio of existing clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
•Oversee client onboarding to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of Meriplex solutions.
•Conduct customer training sessions and executive business reviews to drive engagement and renewals.
•Proactively identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities to grow net recurring revenue.
•Analyze client needs and technical landscapes to create tailored, value-driven solutions.
Collaboration & Reporting
•Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, vCIOs, and TAMs to deliver seamless customer experiences.
•Maintain an accurate, detailed pipeline and provide timely forecasts to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
•Track customer success metrics and sentiment, identifying areas for improvement.
•Stay up to date on Meriplex's products, services, and solutions through continuous learning.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience and Behaviors:
•7-10+ years of B2B sales experience, with a focus on IT, Managed Services, and Professional Services.
•3+ years of experience selling or in customer success for Managed Services, or Professional Services.
•Proven experience selling to IT/Operations/Finance executives and achieving/exceeding quotas.
•Strong technical acumen in networking, cloud solutions, Unified Communications, and M365 (preferred).
•Excellent communication, relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills.
•Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and sales productivity technologies.
•Proactive nature to develop business opportunities independently.
•Strong understanding of customer relationship management principles.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Education
•Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field preferred.
Physical Demands:
Sedentary Work - Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, involving the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
