We do this through speaking loudly and proudly about all that Tulsa has to offer while offering meaningful community-building opportunities for newcomers and long-time Tulsans alike. Experience Tulsa operates under inTulsa Initiative, LLC ("inTulsa") and works collaboratively with Tulsa Remote, LLC ("Tulsa Remote"), Tulsa Service Year, and Campus Tulsa. These programs are all economic development initiatives supported by the George Kaiser Family Foundation. Over the next few years, we hope to support other key community partners in building up Tulsa to be the most welcoming place for newcomers while increasing social capital, community-building, and networking opportunities for all Tulsans.Position PurposeThe Tulsa Remote Marketing Lead collaborates with the Experience Tulsa Marketing Director and the Tulsa Remote leadership team to support and execute the external marketing strategy. This individual will be the liaison between the Tulsa Remote team and the Experience Tulsa team, meeting regularly with key stakeholders of Tulsa Remote to ensure alignment and that marketing activities are executed. To be successful in this position, the Tulsa Remote Marketing Lead must possess skills and demonstrate success in building relationships with broad and diverse audiences, creating and delivering impactful and relevant messaging, and translating and integrating those marketing strategies into effective recruitment communications to achieve organizational goals.Core ResponsibilitiesMarketing and Media RelationsPartner with the Experience Tulsa Marketing Director and key program stakeholders to define annual marketing goals for Tulsa Remote and implement strategies that align with those goals and priorities.Collaborate with the Experience Tulsa Marketing Director to define and implement Tulsa Remote’s master marketing calendar and coordinate execution with the Experience Tulsa Marketing Team.Identify and vet members who are good fits for media opportunities and other Tulsa Remote promotional activities. Meet with a minimum of four members each month to learn their unique stories and determine if they are a good fit for marketing/media/promotional opportunities.Create and maintain a system to ensure new members are constantly being vetted for opportunities. Organize and maintain a database of members used in media and marketing opportunities.Manage public relations vendors or partners, execute media campaigns, engage with members of the media, and operationalize media strategies in support of Tulsa Remote’s goals, including traditional media, podcasts, thought leadership, and executive positioning opportunities.Serve as the team superuser for Meltwater, providing insights on media trends and brand sentiment, and execute monthly earned media reports.Develop and execute a paid media strategy for Tulsa Remote, including managing vendor relationships.Oversee execution of Tulsa Remote's social media strategy and content creation with support from the Experience Tulsa Marketing Team as defined.Manage creative vendors on behalf of Tulsa Remote, including headshot photography, production design, web, and CMS vendors.Manage Tulsa Remote’s marketing tech stack, analytics, operations processes, documentation and knowledge management, workflows, budget, and communications. Ensure consistency with the Experience Tulsa Marketing Team when relevant and defined.CommunicationsManage the SOP for the Tulsa Remote Communications Journey, ensuring timely execution of updates to assets.Support the Tulsa Remote team in executing programmatic internal communication by ensuring the team has access to templates, providing support as needed with HubSpot, and fielding additional requests to the appropriate members of the Experience Tulsa Marketing Team.Manage communication requests from the Member Experience, Operations, and Recruitment teams and ensure information is available to the appropriate members of the Experience Tulsa Marketing Team as needed.Execute quarterly newsletters (Finalist Newsletter and Community Stakeholder Newsletter) for Tulsa Remote.Serve as the team expert on all email marketing platforms (Salesforce and HubSpot).Other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing or campaign management, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.Demonstrated experience in executing strategies that align with organizational goals.Demonstrated experience using Meltwater, HubSpot, Salesforce, Canva, Webflow, and other key marketing tech stack tools.Necessary Mindsets and SkillsCommunicationDemonstrates thoughtful, clear, and concise communication, tailored to the needs of diverse audiences.Ensures key information is shared transparently and in a timely manner, leveraging multiple modes of communication.Navigates multi-channel reviews effectively to finalize and release critical messaging.CollaborationExcels in building and maintaining strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.Creates an open environment that fosters dialogue, encourages feedback, and embraces compromise to achieve shared goals.Works effectively in cross-functional and community-oriented initiatives, exemplifying honesty and mutual learning.Influencing and Motivating OthersStrategically builds trust and rapport with stakeholders, gaining buy-in across internal and external audiences.Employs empathy and active listening to understand multiple perspectives and drive impactful outcomes.Consistently motivates team members, partners, and stakeholders to align efforts with Tulsa Remote’s objectives.Project Management and OrganizationDemonstrates strong organizational skills to manage complex projects, ensuring efficient execution of tasks and alignment with goals.Effectively plans, monitors, and closes projects while managing resources, timelines, and priorities.Uses tools and methodologies to track progress and report outcomes accurately.Data-Driven Decision MakingCollects, analyzes, and interprets data to make informed, strategic decisions.Applies critical thinking to uncover trends and insights that guide action and align with organizational objectives.Promotes a culture of curiosity and evidence-based decision-making within the team.Physical RequirementsAbility to move and stand for extended periods for some events.Ability to work at a desk for extended periods and attend client meetings as needed.Hours and LocationThis is a hybrid position based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
