The Los Angeles office of Kaufman Dolowich, an AV-rated firm designated one of the Best Companies to Work For among U.S. law firms by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking an Employment Litigation Partner. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience in Labor & Employment in addition to management and supervisory skills. Portable business will be considered but is not required.

The candidate would be joining a growing, dynamic firm with more than 200 attorneys nationwide. KD has a strong infrastructure, excellent support staff, and a unique and collegial culture that results in a strong track record of integrating lateral attorneys.

Hybrid or Remote work option. Location is flexible. If admitted in CA, attorneys can work out of any state where we have a firm office.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of handling all aspects of employment litigation experience, including wage and hour matters, class actions and PAGA.
  • Experience in supervision and management of multiple attorneys.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Handled investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, the California Department of Industrial Relations, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, EEOC and other state and local human rights agencies.
  • Appearances in Federal and State courts related to employment litigation.
  • JD from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in California.

The total annual compensation range for this position is $200,000-$300,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

As part of our ongoing effort to actively recruit and advance lawyers of diverse backgrounds, Kaufman Dolowich participates in Mansfield Rule Certification and is a five-time recognized law firm. The process measures whether law firms affirmatively consider diverse lawyers for promotions, senior level hiring and significant leadership roles. Kaufman Dolowich strives for a candidate pool consisting of at least 30% women, attorneys of color, and/or LGBTQ+ attorneys for all lateral partner and mid-to-senior-level associate hires.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment at KD without regard to race; creed; color; religion; national origin; sex; age; disability; sexual orientation; gender identity or expression; genetic predisposition or carrier status; veteran, marital, or citizenship status; or any other status protected by law. Kaufman Dolowich is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
