An Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician at Saint Alphonsus Medical Group provides comprehensive care to women, focusing on prenatal, perinatal, and gynecological health. This role involves a traditional workweek with hospital responsibilities, patient rounds, and shared on-call duties. The position emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, offering a supportive environment for both practitioners and patients in a rural practice setting.



Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a full-time, board certified or board eligible obstetrician/gynecologist (Ob-Gyn) committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.

Job Description:
  • Traditional workweek plus call and hospital responsibilities, including evenings and weekends
  • Minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week plus rounding and call
  • On-call schedule/ratio: 1/6 shared equitably with other employed OB/GYNs
  • Average patients a day: 20-25
  • Weekend schedule/ratio: 1/6 shared equitably with other employed OB/GYNs
  • Opportunity for an OB-GYN seeking a rural-style practice with the support of a large health system and a well-organized multispecialty group practice
  • Clinic located in a new medical office building on the campus of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa, a 100-bed community hospital
  • Birkeland Maternity Center includes a 20-bed LDR unit with a spa-like atmosphere
  • Strong network of primary care clinics and specialty care providers
  • Support includes Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncologist, 4-bed Level II NICU, 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia, Emergency Department, and a SAMG network of 74 Primary & Specialty Care clinics
  • Access to larger system resources, including the Boise OB/GYN practice and da Vinci XI & SI at the Boise campus
  • Saint Alphonsus Boise location features 12 LDR beds, post-partum suites, and a level 3+ NICU
  • Additional support includes Gyn Onc, MFM, Certified Nurse Midwives, Neonatologists, Genetic Counselors, and 24-hour onsite anesthesia coverage on labor and delivery
  • OB Hospitalist service available
  • Ontario, OR location (60 miles west of Boise) features a 10-bed LDRP Unit with a 2-bed newborn nursery
  • Ontario unit is clinically integrated with the Obstetrical Unit and accommodates 400+ annual deliveries
  • Only facility in Malheur, Payette, Fruitland, Adams, and Washington Counties providing care by OB/GYN providers for infants >36 weeks CGA
  • NICU team follows a family-centered approach with outcomes exceeding national benchmarks
  • Retirement/move is the reason for coverage
  • Desired start date: ASAP
  • Practice setting: Rounds, Clinic
  • Documentation System/EMR: EPIC with Dax
  • Accepting Board Certified or Board Eligible candidates who will become Board Certified within 3 years of employment.

Submission Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Board Eligible (to become BC within 3 years of employment) or Board Certified in OB/GYN
  • ID license (or willing to obtain)
  • Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited obstetrics & gynecology residency program
  • DEA (or willing to obtain)
  • CDS/CSR (or willing to obtain)
  • Clean Malpractice & License History
