Part-Time, Temporary Housekeeper for Private High-Profile Family
Location: NYC
Compensation: $45-50/hour
Schedule: Weekends, generally from from 9a–5p *Must be available Saturday and Sunday between 6am and 8pm, but will work 8 hour shifts.
A busy high-profile family is seeking an experienced housekeeper to join their team. This weekend position blends light housekeeping duties with some family/household assistant tasks and light cooking. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and maintain a high standard of care in the family’s home. Must be highly organized, discreet, proactive, detail-oriented, and work very well on a team.
Housekeeping Duties:
Open curtains, tidy and straighten the home (e.g., pick up tableware, remove dead flowers, ensure common rooms are orderly, plump pillows, fold throws)
Prepare breakfast and clean the kitchen (clean and store service ware and tableware, empty and load the dishwasher)
Restock all bathrooms (e.g., toilet paper, tissues, toiletries, empty trash)
Vacuum and mop the home
Refresh bed linens and launder bed linens in the principal’s bedroom
Organize closets and bathrooms (e.g., ensure toiletries are full/clean, put away clothes)
Clean and sanitize bathrooms
Perform turndown service (prepare the principal’s bedroom for the evening)
Ensure all personal devices are charging at the bedside
Set the kitchen table for the next day
Prepare light snacks or beverages for the family as requested
Qualifications:
Prior experience in housekeeping roles, ideally in high-profile or private households
Flexible and adaptable to changes in routine or additional tasks
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization
Comfortable signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
