Position Overview: As the
Glass Fabrication Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process of glass fabrication, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You will lead a team of production workers, manage workflow, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements to optimize operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate glass fabrication activities, including cutting, shaping, polishing, and tempering processes.
- Manage a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure performance goals are met.
- Monitor production schedules and workflow to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance activities as needed.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and logistics to ensure seamless operations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in glass fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Strong knowledge of glass fabrication processes and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and production management software.
