Kojin in Coral Gables, is the expansion from what Chefs Pedro and Katherine Mederos created in their Little River location. This new spot brings an elevated dining experience with a modern twist on their already popular menu. The new location features a more extensive menu that includes a variety of grilled dishes, seafood, and innovative culinary techniques. Kojin offers a stylish and sophisticated ambiance, making it a destination for both casual diners and those looking to celebrate special occasions.

Job Description: Kojin is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our kitchen team. As a Kitchen Team Member, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen operations. You will work closely with our chefs and other team members to ensure that every dish meets our exacting standards for quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to Kojin’s recipes and standards.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets our quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food safety guidelines.
  • Participate in daily kitchen prep work and any other tasks assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a fine dining kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Strong passion for food and culinary excellence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Culinary school education is a plus, but not required.
