Educations & Qualifications: Associates Degree in Automation Technology, Industrial Electrical Maintenance or related field preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of education preference. Must have a minimum of one (1) year of industrial electrical experience with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, installation and commissioning skills are required. Must have knowledge and experience programming PLC/SCADA/HMI/VFD, specifically Allen-Bradley products (Powerflex, Compact Logix, ControlLogix, and Factory Talk View Studio). Proficient knowledge and experience using multimeter, various test instruments and electrical equipment up to 480V AC 3ph, 120V AC & 24 VDC controls, prints and schematics is required. Detailed knowledge of the installation and maintenance of electrical supply and distribution systems is required. Must be able to effectively use computer-based maintenance software. Must be able to effectively interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints and similar trade related documents. Knowledge of Microsoft programs is preferred.
Summary: Under the direction of the Director Controls and Automation the Automation/Controls Technician (ACT) will maintain, repair and replaced, as needed, computer-controlled systems and machines for all DelGrosso entities. The ACT will work with minimal supervision and may be working on several projects at various stages at any given time.
Essential Functions:
•Apply automation skills along with related knowledge in electronics, mechanics and pneumatics to safely install, program and troubleshoot circuitry, control systems, machinery and new equipment at all DelGrosso entities as directed.
•Assemble and troubleshoot equipment from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment bill of materials.
•Troubleshoot system or equipment malfunctions using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, circuit analysis, electronics and pneumatics.
•Program, test, start-up and troubleshoot PLC, industrial control systems and relay control circuits.
•Use computer-assisted design software to create CAD drawings of project wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
•Work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
