We are currently recruiting for an Automation Technician.
Job Description The Automation Technician performs high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair. The desired candidate must have experience in providing technical support for all phases of the operation.
- Assists engineering and plant team members with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems.
- All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety.
- Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations.
- Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
- Ability to perform accurate calculations by performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division,

- Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm (i.e., 80-90°F) to cold (i.e., 20-40°F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas.
- Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels of various heights and in confined spaces, if needed
- Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, across, and below, and at shoulder level.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves.
Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Training beyond High School including either an Associate's Degree (AS) in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience that can include skilled trades programs or military training. Certifications in any technical field or techniques is a plus
At least four (4) years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience
Requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes
Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry
Must have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques
Ability to read, understand, and interpret product specifications Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance
Additional Information Pay Range - $40.80 , plus $1.00 shift differential pay
Schedule - 1pm -9pm. Must be able to work overtime and weekends
