Description Position Overview: The primary function of the loan Closer position is to audit the closed loan files to ensure that prior to funding a loan the documents were prepared correctly, returned, and signed appropriately. The Closer is also responsible for submitting the UCD transmission to the Portal and moving the file onto our PostClosing Team. Due to the highly regulated nature of the mortgage business, the mortgage Closer is responsible for ensuring the loan closed following all applicable mortgage-lending regulations. The ideal candidate will be able to juggle numerous tasks, be detail oriented, and work well independently and under pressure.
Job Responsibilities: - Review executed closing package for accuracy and obtain any closing conditions to provide funding authorization.
- Prepare wire in Warehouse Bank website and submit for funding.
- Once loan funded enters all details of closing and funding into the loan in LOS.
- Upload emailed signed closing docs and any closing conditions provided into the loan in LOS Doc Storage.
- Transfer Loan to Post Closing Queue once funded and emailed signed docs uploaded.
- Provide any and all closing related documentation and/or conditions requested from Post Closing.
- Prepare 3 DAY CD for TRID loans at processors request.
- Respond to all communication with a high degree of urgency.
- Respond on all follow-up communication in a timely manner. Communication should leave the impression with others that you are being as proactive as possible.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully at all times.
- Complete all Continuing Education requirements as announced and implemented company-wide.
- Adherence to Performance Reviews Recommendations as established and implemented company-wide.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 2 years TRID experience in closing/funding since 2015.
- Correspondent lending and/or accounting background is preferred.
- Experience in closing various loan programs Conventional, FHA, VA, NON-QM
- Must be able to multi-task and work well in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several variables.
- High School Diploma/GED
Qualifications KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: - 2 years TRID experience in closing/funding since 2015.
