Job Description

Employbridge is currently recruiting for a Senior Control Integration Engineer specializing in SCADA for the Winston-Salem, NC site location. As a Senior Control Integration Engineer you will provide technical leadership and expertise in SCADA systems and control engineering, driving innovation and optimization within the manufacturing operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design, development, and coordination of control systems and SCADA for manufacturing operations, utilizing AVEVA SCADA systems and other relevant technologies.
  • Oversee the installation, integration, and commissioning of control systems and SCADA systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Develop reports from Historian and SQL and create functional and user documentation for SCADA solutions.
  • Mentor and train personnel on operating, maintaining, and upgrading control systems.
  • Collaborate with the Global Technology Services (GTS) department to implement SCADA upgrades and enhancements.
  • Conduct component and equipment validation and qualification testing to ensure compliance with specifications. Evaluate equipment vendors and specifications based on manufacturing needs and cost reduction requirements.
  • Supervise internal and contract staff engaged in control system and SCADA projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, PARs, and requisitions, and track expenditures for multiple locations.
  • Foster collaboration with departments such as Manufacturing, Packaging, Maintenance, Controls Engineering, Computer System Validation, IT/IS, and Industrial Engineering on equipment controls and SCADA activities.
  • Optimize maintenance systems to support control and SCADA systems, ensuring maximum efficiency and uptime. Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support to production and maintenance teams. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Oversee the activities of internal and contract employees
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Food, or Consumer Product Good industries preferred.
  • Knowledge in package development and the food industry is desirable.
  • 3 plus years of experience in SCADA systems and control engineering, with a proven track record of deploying projects using AVEVA software (Edge, Historian, System Platform, Insight).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, VBScript, .NET, and SQL/Oracle.
  • Strong understanding of OPC UA and Allen Bradley driver protocols.
  • Ability to analyze processes and translate requirements into technical designs and solutions.
  • Experience in implementing, upgrading, migrating, or supporting SCADA systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of network architecture and data flow.
  • Strong presentation skills both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP
