A leading international law firm is looking for an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join their growing and successful team. This attorney can sit out of any of the firms six West Coast offices, the position can also be fully remote for the right person.
Job Duties:
- Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients.
- Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
- Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
- Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
Qualifications:
- Possesses excellent academic credentials.
- Is admitted to practice in California, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington state
- Has experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation.
- Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Has strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Has the ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
- Has effective problem-solving skills.
- Has the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Desired Skills and Experience
Active California State Bar license.
4+ years of insurance coverage experience.
Attorney must reside in California.
