Floor Manager – Mari Vanna NYC

Job Overview:

Mari Vanna NYC, a premier Eastern European restaurant in Manhattan, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and maintain the warm and welcoming atmosphere that defines our brand. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, and passionate about hospitality.

Responsibilities:

• Guest Experience & Service Excellence:

• Ensure all guests receive warm, attentive, and high-quality service.

• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues professionally.

• Maintain the restaurant’s signature Eastern European hospitality and ambiance.

• Team Leadership & Staff Supervision:

• Lead and support front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts.

• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, VIP guests, and service expectations.

• Train and mentor staff to uphold the restaurant’s high service standards.

• Floor Operations & Efficiency:

• Oversee the dining room and bar to ensure smooth service flow.

• Monitor table turnover, manage seating arrangements, and coordinate with the kitchen for optimal efficiency.

• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards.

• Sales & Upselling:

• Promote house-infused vodkas, specialty cocktails, and traditional Eastern European dishes to enhance guest experience and maximize sales.

• Encourage staff to upsell menu items and maintain a high level of product knowledge.

• Reservation & Event Management:

• Manage reservations, including large parties and private events.

• Work with the team to accommodate special requests and coordinate event logistics.

• Cash & Inventory Control:

• Assist in handling cash, processing payments, and ensuring accurate transactions.

• Monitor stock levels of beverages, linens, and front-of-house essentials.

• Collaboration with Management:

• Work closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and other key team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Provide feedback on service trends, guest preferences, and potential improvements.

Requirements:

? Previous experience as a Floor Manager or similar role in a high-volume restaurant

? Strong leadership and communication skills

? Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

? Knowledge of Eastern European cuisine, beverages, and culture is a plus

? Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

? Professional demeanor and a passion for hospitality
