They seek a Tax Director to join their Manhattan, NY office.ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of consolidated financial statement income tax reportingReview return to provision true-up calculation, deferred tax analysis, and effective tax rateManage the external auditors’ review of the annual global income tax provisionEnsure federal, state, and local income tax compliance including corporate and partnership tax returnsAnalyze US tax treatment of material transactions including mergers and acquisitionsReview quarterly corporate estimated tax payment calculations using annualization methodHandle the state and local sales and use tax reporting and other annual state or local filingsComplete income, sales, use, and property tax audits and develop audit-ready workpapersResponsible for the risk management process for the global tax functionMonitor tax expense quarterly and implement strategies to optimize effective tax ratesRequirements12+ years of accounting experienceBroad tax experience requiredKnowledge of ASC740, corporate, and partnership taxExperience with transfer pricing, sales/VAT tax, etc.Public or combo accounting experienceFinancial services industry experienceCPA strongly preferredSeniority level
