Regional Cancer Care Associates (RCCA) is looking for an exceptional Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join the team. The Clinical supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the clinical laboratory. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of laboratory processes; coordinating staff schedules; maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies' standards; responsible for hiring, training, coaching and performance evaluations; performs and monitors clinical laboratory tests used in treatment and diagnosis of diseases; possess strong multi-tasking abilities and bring positivity and passion to their work; demonstrates critical clinical thinking and technical skills needed to assess the operational needs; excellent written and communications skills; ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays or Holidays as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees the day-to-day operations of the molecular laboratory.Performs and verifies staff training and competencies.Follows the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient results.Plans daily work schedule and assignments.Ensures that the work is done and reported promptly and accurately.Performs specimen analysis of all Flow Cytometry, Hematology, and other Molecular PCR testing.Maintains and operates all laboratory equipment. Performs daily, weekly and monthly instrument maintenance as indicated.Adheres to the laboratory's quality control policies and documents all QC activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and instrument maintenance. Records proper lot numbers of all controls, calibrators, and reagents.Participates in proficiency testing by performing sample analysis and reporting results at least once a year.Processes specimens for send-out testing.Follows the laboratory's policies whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance. Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either corrects the problem or notifies manager.Serves as technical resource in resolving complex problems by documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.Maintains proper documentation as described by the quality assurance program including accession logs, test report logs, quality control logs, temperature logs, equipment records and checklists. Verifies all critical results and documents with accurate follow-up.Monitors laboratory turnaround times.Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and ensures that all supplies are viable before use in patient testing. Prepares reagents, stains and other chemical solutions as needed. Restocks the laboratory area as needed.Sends specimens to reference laboratories for any testing not performed in house.Processes incoming orders for lab testing including reference laboratory specimens.Trains employees and new hires in laboratory procedures.May act as primary operator for at least one laboratory instrument.Participates in the development of new instruments and procedures as needed.Oversee daily laboratory activities.Complies with quality assurance standards.Adheres to all OSHA, CLIA compliance laws and Universal Precaution procedures. Complies with applicable regulatory agency standards.Maintains a clean and organized work environment.Performs CLIA classified Moderate and High complexity testing with minimal supervision.Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related health care field required.Current state license preferred; AMT, ASCP or equivalent certification required.The position requires five years of laboratory experience and a minimum of two years of supervisor or leadership role.Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements such as CLIA, CAP, Client, State, or other regulatory guidelines.

Shifts:Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. Will be required to work Saturdays to cover the absences.
