SSTAR is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) which affords our employees eligibility to apply for one of our three Loan Repayment Programs.
The Drug Screen/Specimen Collector is an onsite entry level position responsible for all aspects of the urine specimen process as mandated by state/federal regulations.

Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock and placing orders.Collection of urine samples.Monitoring all urine results in the SMART system.Responsible for maintaining up to date urine lists.Monitoring the 15 urine specimens per year are obtained from clients.Posting urine specimen lists 24 hours in advance.Printing all urine tickets/labels required for collection.Any other miscellaneous duties associated with specimen monitoring.Greet clients/Visitors and assist them as needed.Registers clients that are arriving for admission.Verifying insurance coverage.Collect client payments and process required reports for Account Receivable.Files and pulls medical records.Responsible for department filing medical records.Collects client information and enters into SMART.Answers telephone, directs calls or assists caller as necessary.Provides back up for expediter by facilitating client admission onto the Lifeline program and making a smooth transition to medical and clinical staff.Responsible for service and assistance with postage.Responds to emergency situations by alerting the appropriate staff.Experience and SkillsQualifications:
GED or Highschool diploma.Basic computer skills.Able to multi task.Excellent organizational skills.Communicates effectively and sensitively on the telephone and in person.Good computer skills and data entry experience.Ability to work as a team member and work well under pressure.
