Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary
The Student Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist is responsible for preparing examinations under the direction of a specialized physician, resident or certified technologist in the modality of study. The Intern/Student will focus on patient safety, required to function within the parameters of the legal scope of practice and in accordance with the federal, state, and local laws; rules and regulations; and policies, procedures and guidelines of Eskenazi Health. This includes scheduling patients, reviewing medical history, preparing patients and equipment, and relating results to supervisor.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health's mission: Advocate, Care, Teach, and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County; models Eskenazi Health's valuesSchedules and educates patientsReviews requisition, patient's medical chart, and records oral history from patient to define reason for diagnostic examinationPrepares examination including: positioning and preparing patients for examinations, determining appropriate equipment to be used, setting and modifying controls during procedure for optimal scanning results, and observing patientsMaintains supplies required for daily useAssists technologists or physicians in performing special examinations, emergency medical care and research projectsJob Requirements
