KippsDeSanto - Investment Banking DirectorKippsDeSanto is focused on providing comprehensive investment banking services – primarily M&A, private financing, and strategic advisory – to middle market aerospace, defense, government services, and enterprise technology companies.Our Directors perform critical functions throughout the entire transaction process, from helping to prepare clients for the market, engaging with potential buyers, facilitating due diligence, and ultimately closing the deal. The individual will be responsible for leading their respective deal teams, particularly the junior bankers, throughout the successful execution of client transactions. They will also work closely with our Managing Directors on marketing opportunities and sourcing/securing new business.Capital One’s Commercial Bank looks for its leaders to demonstrate client focus, inspirational leadership, integrated problem-solving, and domain expertise. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, keen problem-solving skills, and communicate effectively with both external and internal clients. As a leader in a scaling team, the candidate must be open to change and idea sharing, and assure that processes are accurate and well controlled.Responsibilities:

Meaningfully contribute to business development initiativesCraft client and deal strategies and manage execution throughout transaction lifecycle, independently or with limited supportLead teams in completing and publishing industry research and thought leadershipPlay a key leadership role in attracting, interviewing, mentoring, developing, and retaining top talentStay abreast of new developments within the aerospace, defense, government services, and enterprise technology sectors by monitoring the activities of potential buyers, including regular direct briefings with key management to have first person knowledge of their acquisition strategies and criteriaBasic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or military experienceAt least 8 years of investment banking experience with a focus on Mergers & AcquisitionsFINRA Licenses - Series 63, Series 79, SIEPreferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business management, or economicsTechnical and functional knowledge in the aerospace, defense, government services, and enterprise technology sectorsAt this time, KippsDeSanto as part of Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Charlotte, NC: $250,000 - $300,000 for Director, Mergers and AcquisitionsMcLean, VA: $250,000 - $300,000 for Director, Mergers and AcquisitionsCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
