Job Details
The Accounting Manager is an integral member of the accounting team, supporting the Controller and VP of Finance with month-end closing, financial reporting and analysis, inventory management, audit, compliance, and continuous improvement goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages 842 Lease reporting
Manages Fixed Assets
Backup for Payroll/Spiff/Commissions/
Coordinate and participate in inventory cycle counts and year-end valuation for audit.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company’s financial health and performance.
Support the Controller through the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks to meet the deadline.
Prepare account reconciliations and analyze results, resolving any discovered issues.
Assist with annual audit.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Identify areas of opportunity to standardize, simplify, and streamline processes, aligning with the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.
Collaborate with various departments to gather insights, support decision-making, and drive financial best practices across the organization.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience. CPA preferred.
Superior analytical skills with an insatiable curiosity for business. Passionate about turning data into actionable information to drive value.
Exemplary business partnership, cross-functional collaboration, and organizational management skills.
Experience with accounting, reporting, forecasting, and business intelligence systems.
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
